Contribution

According to our Seventh Tradition, we are self-supporting through our own contributions. 

• Contributions from Individuals
• Contributions from Meeting Treasurers
• Contributions for SVIOA Events

Meeting treasurers are typically responsible for making payments to ensure meetings are self-sufficient (i.e. rent, Zoom account costs, etc.), and also to do periodic service splits to Intergroup, Region 2, and World Service as agreed to by the group.

Here are some ways you can contribute:

• Individual meetings: Ask the group treasurer on the best way to get them the money. One way to keep track is to keep an envelope for each phone or online meeting you attend. Every time you participate, put your 7th Tradition contribution in the envelope and periodically send a lump contribution to the group treasurer. 
  
  
• Sacramento Valley Intergroup:

2. Contribute by Mail: Print and fill out the Sacramento Valley Intergroup contribution form. Mail it with a check or money order made out to: Overeaters Anonymous of Sacramento, Inc., P.O. Box 255085, Sacramento, CA 95865 (Please include the group number on the check.)

• OA World Service: Instructions for online and mail contributions are on the OA World Service website. ​​

Note: There are fees for using the Intergroup online contribution portal. If you would like to cover the contribution fees, check the box that says, “Optionally add $xx to cover processing fees” when you complete the payment information for your contribution
