Sacramento Valley Intergroup of Overeaters Anonymous
Location: Christ Temple Apostolic Church, 9001 La Riviera Drive,

We started at 7:00 PM. The meeting opened with the Serenity Prayer; Rosalie
read the Twelve Traditions; Introductions were made; the minutes of last
meeting were read and approved.

New Business:
None
Status of Lawsuit:
Ian D. gave report on meeting with attorney held 11/3/05. Balance to attorney is $3,117.16; dipped
into prudent reserve; first consequence of lawsuit; go back to meetings and
encourage second collection to support cost of lawsuit. It was suggested that we revisit defense of
group at January meeting since we are dipping into prudent reserve.

Ian gave financial report for period ending October 31, 2005; copies of
reports were distributed.

World Service: Rosalie
Rosalie distributed final report from WSBC held April 25-30, 2005, in
Albuquerque, NM. New Motions for May 2006
WSBC are due to World Service by December 10, 2005. Midge has resigned as SVIOA World Service Representative; no
representation at this time; announce at groups that two positions are
available as of January 1, 2006.

Motion made for
Intergroup to give $100 seed money to Saturday night group for advance
expenses; money will be returned through donations. Motion passed unanimously.

basked instead of “suggested donation” amount.
After a lot of discussion, vote was taken: Yes – 11; No- 4; Abstain – 1.
Motion passed: basked will be
passed at birthday party just like regular meeting 7th tradition
collection.

· Pilar announced that Roseville Saturday meeting holds a sponsorship meeting on the last Saturday of each month. Announcement will be posted on the SVIOA website.

Ian announced that we now have coverage in place.

Policies & Procedures manual for board/committee position and return with
mark ups to Mariel at next meeting.

New pamphlet is available at
$1.35/each; still have copies of children’s pamphlet free of charge; Janice
will continue position if someone else will step up to take Michelle’s place.

Theatre Ads to run starting
12/9/05 at Natomas and UA Arden Fair. Cost
is $2,400. Traci still thinking about

Retreat

Judy B. , current Registrar
Chair, will take over as Retreat Chair next year; all payments from 2005
retreat are in; some expenses still pending.
2006 Retreat Leader will be asked at LA birthday party meeting in
January; dates for 2006 retreat are 8/18-20/06; flyers will be out at the
Sacramento birthday meeting in January.
It was suggested that SVIOA consider hiring professional media company
to produce retreat speaker tapes next year.
Speaker

Steve is working on the
list. The requirement for being on the
list is 30 days of abstinence and actively working on the steps. People with suggestions for the list can
call Steve at 209-200-3444. Steve will continue
position next year.
